In China there are lots of different food.
And as you can guess as westerner you aren't always traditionally used to all kinds of stuff they put on the table here. But as long as you don't really know what it is and it tastes good, you should be fine.
At some point they maybe will tell you then and your stomach suddenly just begins to turn upside down. This was the case when I joined the family I live with for a meal. Since I am not very hesitant about trying food I
just went ahead and tried the meat on the table. It was a bit harder to eat, since the bone marrow was around but it was ok and not too bad. But as soon as she asked if I knew what I was eating there and I responded meat, she said swine feet meat and suddenly it felt much much harder to swallow it. I guess its all a point of view thing, but yeah. Since it was difficult to eat, I said, I would prefer other meat, it was still good, though. As a group with me joined for dinner at a typical chinese restaurant we also got some other stuff. As Chinese say "Kouwei" for your taste it depends either you like chinese food or not so much. Donkeymeat also tastes good, wrapped as Beijing duck. And when you eat with people who speak Chinese far better then you do and they explain something about food, just keep pretending you understand and hope for the best. You never know what exactly they were saying and in the end you maybe also wouldn't want to know.
